Dear Friends

Well, another deadline, come and gone.....  And nothing is happening. I'm starting to feel like the boy who cried "wolf". We are again just waiting for someone that we thought could/would fund us, to get back with us. I don't know what to think or even expect anymore. We got a message to the owners (out of town) that I thought we had something happening finally, but then nothing....

With that said, we are still praying, but struggling.

A snapshot of this past week.... I think the stress has finally gotten to me, and I'm feeling under the weather again. This is my last week skidding logs, and then I need to find another job, and have leads on several. Karen canned peaches with some good friends on Saturday. That was fun. Our anniversary was on Sunday, and that went fairly ok, but I broke the passenger door rear view mirror off while backing into a parking space next to a wall and I apparently got too close. When we got home, a water pipe had leaked and flooded part of upstairs, soaking the carpet upstairs and down; the carpets have to be replaced. Josh is getting married on September 30th, and then I discovered that my 20 year high school class reunion is on the same weekend, so I'm happy to attend the wedding, but I'd been looking forward to the reunion for several years; oh well. It did rain pretty good last night and several nights ago, so that was good. And all of us are feeling the stress of the uncertainty of our living situation and long term plans; that's hard.  

Just pray that God shows us something, because it feels like something has to give, and soon.

In spite of everything, I trust God.
