Dear Friends,

You are invited to an Open House on the afternoon of July 4th, up here at the ranch (see the website for directions and details on how to get here http://www.bighouseministries.com). We are planning a BBQ mid afternoon, and are asking people to bring a dish and/or meat to share (though some limited meat will be provided...). Someone has graciously donated the paint and pool repair equipment to allow us to even fill the pool up part way, enough for the kids to play in, though because of liability issues, anyone in the pool will need to have a signed liability release first.

The status of the contract for the ranch is this: that even though most major details of the ranch purchase were ironed out with the owners by June 1'st, and Earnest Money was/is in-hand to put down on the ranch property, we and the owners are still trying to work out contract details between us. The owner wants to work with us and has been very patient, but we also need to honor him and follow through with our commitment to purchase the place, as soon as possible.

One of the purposes of this open house on the Fourth of July is to accept funds and raise donations to pay off all back rent on the ranch ($2000) so that the purchase contract can proceed in that respect as well. This is 4 months of back rent that I personally have missed at one point or another over the first 2 years that I (Tim) had been living here alone, sometimes because no financial support came in, and sometimes simply because I could not earn enough money that month to cover my own debts and bills and still cover ranch rent as well.

There are lots of other cool God fingerprints continuing to happen.... It's kinda neat, really.... *thoughtful musing*

If you can RSVP about coming, that would be nice, but is not required.

Several of the ranch board members are planning to try to be here that day, as well as some of the staff that already either lives here, or has committed to helping/partnering with the ranch. It should be an interesting day, no doubt :-)

I hope to see you there :-)

 Sincerely,

-Tim Benedict
